BRAZILIAN, BASED IN BERLIN

I'M A DESIGNER WITH PROXIMITY TO PUBLISHING AND A RESEARCHER WHO PRACTICES AND WRITES. WITH EIGHT YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, I WORKED IN STUDIOS AND AGENCY CONTEXTS DESIGNING BOOKS, MAGAZINES, REPORTS, TYPOGRAPHY AND BRANDING PROJECTS.

From my Master’s thesis, I sewed counter-narratives in relation to gender, class, and race oppression. In the format of a long creative nonfictional essay, the format spotlights the system of power and oppression in the publishing field. This encompasses different agents in the ecosystem: authors, editors, designers, art directors, translators, and graphic producers.

As a guest at the Bauhaus Foundation, joining the roundtable “Embodied knowledges” during the annual Bauhaus Study Rooms 2023, I addressed asymmetrical power dynamics in the context of privileges and discrimination.
