cada-um-morre-por-si

Complete book project of the first Brazilian edition of „Jeder stirbt für sich allein“, written by Hans Fallada and published by Editora Carambaia.

For the cover and internal pages, a custom typography conveys the narrative’s tension. Baptized as Dorn Display (“dorn” means “thorn” in German), this font has sharp vertex and is inspired by gothic-style angles. In addition to the senses of strangeness and discomfort, the result has minefield, barbed wire and stich-like images to tell the story of one of the first anti-Nazi works published in post-Second World War Germany.

In the internal pages, Lyon Text guarantees fluid reading over the 750 pages of the book.

The book is available at carambaia.com.br
